Peace is a five letter word. It rolls easily off the tongue. It is easy to spell. Most people have a vague idea of what it means, think it sounds nice, valuable, worth having. People spend their lives searching for it, for themselves, for others.
But what is it? How do you define it? Where do you find it? Is it an illusion? Is it attainable? Is it a will-o-the-whisp, something that disappears as soon as you find it, something that is always momentary, fleeting, out of reach?
Is it merely the temporary absence of pain, of hurt, of frustration, of danger, of struggle? Can it exist at all in a world that is filled with unpleasantness, with disappointment, with danger, with suffering, with war?
Peace is a five letter word...

As you say,"Peace is a five letter word"... 'war is only 3 letters...
Peace is therefore mightier and will triumph!
My two cents ;)
Hello Daniel!
I believe that peace is an actual acheivment and the MOVING moments in time.
For example:
Being able to sit and acknowledge, and experience the sun setting on a quiet beach. Being in the moment.
Being mindful, aware and awake. Being open, alive and feeling even in the most disturbing of circumstances.
A Point of happiness.
The moments after love making shared with a partner.
A quietness of the mind...
Being able to smile without tension in one's face.
Being able to laugh truthfully without any pretense.
Peace and blessings
Lil sparrow
peace is silence; stillness; every becoming is a violent break from a point; and a violent intrusion into another. Peace is nothingness; or else an illusion of dreamy poems.
