We live with ourselves day by day,
Yet strangers we are some might say.
Can we ever discover what we are?
Or is the answer distant as a star?

in the grander scheme of things- i wonder how much it will matter. the planet is ailing and people still kill each other with impunity for profit and greed. human nature is- apparently- what it is. and most are quite happy with it as is (as long as they are on the winning side)
This is a big question! What are we? It seems as distant as a star because we don't know how to think or feel about ourselves.
Language is important but sometimes I wonder if we put so much emphasis on words and their meanings, that it takes away from our feelings and what we really know.
I try to label myself....I am a mother, I am a woman, I am my job title (whatever that might be). I am a sister, a daughter, a friend, a neighbor, a fellow countryman, a global citizen...
But if I stripped away all those titles that I give myself..what am I?
I am love...trying to be...
